THE SEASCAPE, AS I FIND IT

I am drawn to the coast for its ever-changing light, atmosphere and sense of place.

My photographic perspective is about looking beyond the obvious — finding beauty in the familiar and capturing the fleeting moments that give a place its character.

From the beaches, dunes and piers of the Suffolk coast to the quiet waters of the River Deben, I look for moments when light, weather, tide and landscape come together.

Sometimes it is the first light of morning. Sometimes the last glow of sunset. Sometimes the stillness of night, stars or the Aurora.

For me, seascape photography is about capturing a feeling as much as a place — the atmosphere, solitude and changing character of the coast.

These photographs are my interpretation of the coastline as I find it.

The sea. The shore. The light.
