THE LANDSCAPE, AS I FIND IT
I am drawn to places where the landscape still feels bigger than us.
The Scottish Highlands have become a particular fascination — mountains disappearing into cloud, lochs reflecting changing skies, rivers cutting through ancient glens and the brief moments when sunlight breaks through the weather.
I don't go looking only for perfect conditions. Often, it is the rain, mist, darkness and changing light that give a landscape its character.
These photographs are records of those moments. Some were carefully planned. Others were found by chance.
All are places that stopped me long enough to take the camera to my shoulder and look again.
