BLACK AND WHITE , AS I SEE IT

Black and white photography allows me to look at the world differently.

Without colour, I am drawn towards light, shadow, texture, shape and atmosphere — the elements that give an image its character.

From landscapes and coastlines to architecture, trees, boats and quiet moments, I look for photographs where the absence of colour reveals something that might otherwise be overlooked.

Sometimes the image is dramatic. Sometimes it is simple and understated.

What interests me is the relationship between light and shadow, and the mood they create.

These photographs are not tied to one place or subject. They are moments that caught my eye and stayed with me.

For me, black and white is about reducing an image to its essential elements and allowing the photograph to speak for itself.
